About the Job

Key Responsibilities

  • Order Fulfillment & Staging: Accurately pick, stage, inspect, and fulfill customer orders on time. Maintain clean, organized, and safe staging areas.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Deliver exceptional service by selecting high-quality items, validating orders, answering customer questions, and directing them to appropriate associates as needed.
  • Equipment Operation & Safety: Operate and maintain certification for powered equipment including Counterbalance Forklift, Order Picker, and Narrow Aisle Reach Truck, strictly adhering to all safety requirements.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Support precise inventory records by utilizing the Orders App, ensuring SIMS compliance, and collaborating with leadership to resolve any short picks.
  • Administrative & Maintenance Tasks: Complete essential administrative duties, maintenance tasks, and readiness activities such as audits, order follow-ups, and locker management. Promptly report any safety concerns or potential theft.
  • Customer-First Mindset: Consistently achieve daily responsibilities with a strong customer-first approach, demonstrating excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Other Duties: May be assigned additional duties to support the evolving needs of the business.

Required Qualifications

  • Computer Proficiency: 6 months of experience using a computer for inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
  • Retail Technology: 6 months of experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
  • Powered Equipment Certification: Must possess or be able to obtain certification for Counterbalance Forklift, Order Picker, and Narrow Aisle Reach Truck.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Retail Experience: 6 months of retail experience.
  • Customer Service/Fulfillment: 6 months of experience in a customer service or product fulfillment position, particularly within a home improvement or hardware retailer (e.g., kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden departments).
  • Material Handling: 6 months of experience in any industry inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading product or material in or out of vehicles.
