Operations – Supply Chain Internship Program
This 12-week paid internship program is designed for sophomores, juniors, and seniors pursuing careers in the powersports industry. The program provides impactful project-based assignments that directly align with business objectives.
# Internship Opportunities
Interns will gain valuable experience in areas such as:
• Supplier Development: Working closely with Purchasing and Materials to manage quality, cost, delivery, and logistics.
• Purchasing and Sourcing: Forecasting cost, volume, compatibility, and quality of future packing methods.
• Materials Management: Optimizing utilization of assets used in material movement globally throughout the company.
• Logistics: Facilitating improvement of global supplier metrics across the Polaris supply base.
• New Product Introduction (NPI): Assisting with supplier assessments, validating corrective actions, or negotiating prices.
• Lean Manufacturing: Analyzing and evaluating manufacturing methods and standards.
• Manufacturing Engineering and Quality: Developing and updating process documentation and procedure instructions.
• Continuous Improvement: Identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects.
• Problem Solving and Analysis: Supporting manufacturing or product engineering teams with the resolution of top quality and warranty issues, applying advanced statistical analysis, problem solving techniques and quality tools.

# Selection Process
• Applications open from September – December 2024.
• MS TEAMS panel interview with an HR business partner and functional leader.
• Upon accepting an offer, interns participate in a Spring 2025 matching process to connect with specific roles, teams, and locations based on their interests and strengths.
• Relocation assistance is available for interns who qualify through Weichert Workforce Mobility.
# Required Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Engineering Sciences, Operations, or a related degree.
• Intended graduation date between December 2024 – May 2027.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Ability to complete a full 12-week commitment working 40 hours per week.
• Proven strength in analysis and creative problem solving, communication, interpersonal relationships, self-motivation, and leadership.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word).
# Preferred Qualifications
• Previous internship/co-op experience.
• Previous leadership experience in work, organizations, or classrooms.
• Completion of at least two years of university coursework.
