Program Purpose / General Summary

As an Operations Summer Intern, you will leverage your unique perspective and knowledge to identify operational gaps and improve process efficiency, making a genuine mark on our business. Key Responsibilities

During your 10-week internship, you will be actively involved in various aspects of our operations:

• Provide direct support to the operations team, contributing to daily activities and strategic initiatives.
• Actively learn and implement effective and efficient operational practices within a culture of continuous improvement.
Shadow and understand production practices that maintain and support the facility’s robust food safety program.
• Experience how to monitor product quality and production operations to consistently meet customer expectations.
• Contribute to creating an environment where all team members are encouraged to be active participants and involved in the business.
• Recognize and celebrate team successes, and challenge individuals to achieve their full potential.
Shadow supervisors to identify and resolve problems or bottlenecks in production processes, ensuring all necessary production resources (materials, equipment, and human resources) are readily available to maintain schedules.
• Support continuous improvement goals across key areas including safety, quality, cost, and customer service.
• Understand how to design and implement effective solutions to address identified operational problems or bottlenecks.
• Cultivate strong, positive relationships with hourly team members across the facility.
• Shadow production supervisors to gain deep insights into their day-to-day operations and leadership responsibilities.
• Learn basics in how to anticipate and determine causes of delays in shift operations and take appropriate actions to meet production schedules.
• Complete and present a significant project related to specific issues or opportunities within the operations department.

Qualifications

To be considered for this internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Currently enrolled in a four-year university or pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.

Compensation & Benefits

The applicant selected for this position will receive:

• An hourly wage of $21/hour.
• A $2,500 relocation stipend.
