2027 Operations Analyst Program – Summer Analyst | JPMorganChase
The Tone:
This is a 9-week summer analyst program at JPMorganChase, located in NY Metro (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Jersey City) and Chicago, IL. JPMorganChase is one of the oldest financial institutions, offering financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses, and prominent corporate, institutional, and government clients globally under the J.P. Morgan and Chase brands. The Operations function is at the heart of running the firm efficiently, effectively, and delivering value for its clients by helping to deliver core services. • Mission: To deliver core services to the firm and its clients efficiently, identify process opportunities for optimization, and support the continued growth and development of participants within the Operations function.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Lifecycle Management: Assist with the end-to-end management of the client lifecycle, from onboarding through account maintenance, partnering with bankers, underwriters, and other functions to support client financing needs.
• Transaction Processing & Servicing: Process, clear, investigate, and service transactions, tickets, and widgets responsibly, which includes supporting document review, data reconciliation, and payment processing, and troubleshooting client inquiries.
• Data Analytics & Reporting: Support data analytics and reporting for your team and the lines of business you support, which involves overseeing data management, governance, sourcing, and control of reference data, and preparing internal and external risk reports.
• Process Optimization & Transformation: Identify process gaps to optimize processes in collaboration with Technology teams, including creating Tableau dashboards and implementing AI and Machine Learning solutions within Business Operations teams.
• Trade & Asset Support: Ensure the accurate execution of investor tickets and trades, following through to the correct settlement systems, and effectively communicate with counterparties to match off on trades while analyzing reference data to support trading.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a B.A., B.S., B.B.A or 5th year M.A. or M.S. degree, with an expected graduation date of December 2027 through June 2028. All majors are considered, accompanied by a well-rounded academic background.
• Experience: Demonstrated growth mindset with a desire to learn financial operations, great team player able to work and adapt in a dynamic environment, and an ability to manage time, prioritize assignments, and work within deadlines.
• Skills: Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally; proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Bonus: Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
