Special Project Strategist Intern (TikTok Shop – Operations) – 2026 Summer (BS/ MS) | TikTok

The Tone:
This is a 12-week internship at TikTok, located in Los Angeles, CA, slated for Summer 2026. TikTok stands as the leading global destination for short-form mobile video, dedicated to inspiring creativity and bringing joy to its community of over one billion users. This role is critical for the TikTok Shop US operation team, focused on pioneering content and creator commerce in the United States. The intern will support business leaders in developing and executing strategic projects, aiming to build an innovative, secure, and intuitive e-commerce experience that leverages TikTok’s unique platform capabilities to deliver high-quality products and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Support: Support business leaders in breaking down project tasks, setting priorities, and adding value to the global e-commerce business team.
• Strategy Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive strategies, including setting goals, managing budgets, and reviewing performance.
• Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis to evaluate the performance of merchandise and seller growth, identify trends, and recommend optimizations.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various internal and external teams to plan and execute strategic initiatives effectively.
• Process Design: Participate in the design and implementation of business operation management systems and processes to support strategy execution.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Marketing, or a closely related field.
• Experience: Able to commit to working for the full 12 weeks of the internship during Summer 2026.
• Skills: Possess strong logical, systematic, and critical thinking abilities crucial for thorough business analysis. Demonstrate robust learning and execution capabilities, along with effective stress resistance. Exhibit strong communication and coordination skills, resource integration ability, and proven project management aptitude.
• Bonus: A strong interest in the e-commerce business, with prior internship experience in the sector or a solid understanding of the industry landscape being advantageous. Familiarity with TikTok and other content platforms, particularly experience in content-based e-commerce (from either a brand or platform perspective), is highly preferred. A strong network and connections with brands and/or retailers would be a plus. A genuine passion for TikTok and e-commerce, coupled with an eagerness to exceed challenging goals while building something unique, is desired.
