Operations Specialist | Kodiak
The Tone:
This is an in-person role at Kodiak. Kodiak is a leader in autonomous ground transportation, developing an AI-powered technology stack for commercial trucking and the public sector, including the U.S. Department of Defense. The company delivers freight daily across the southern United States with its autonomous semi-trucks, being the first to publicly announce a driverless delivery to a customer. This Operations Specialist role is crucial for assisting development and production operations, ensuring they run safely, efficiently, and precisely to support Kodiak’s pioneering work in autonomous trucking.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Communication & Support: Maintain energetic and courteous communication with multiple safety drivers to support their ongoing operations.
• Documentation & Tracking: Accurately track and precisely document the progress of runs throughout shifts, including reporting trip issues and logistical discrepancies as needed.
• System Management: Manage and update information within the company’s Truck Management System and set driver schedules based on available assignments for all shifts.
• System Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and meticulously document any issues encountered with the autonomous system, ensuring prompt resolution.
• Operational Readiness: Assist with AV system setup, conducting cross-checks through checklists and performing other required health checks to ensure operational readiness.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level career experience, demonstrating an understanding of operational support within a logistics or technical environment.
• Experience: Proven ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, including days, nights, and weekends, and to perform under high-stress situations while using good judgment. A motivated individual is essential.
• Skills: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities; proficiency in troubleshooting various operating systems; knowledge of Google Office applications such as spreadsheets, docs, and drive; excellent organizational skills for prioritizing and multitasking effectively.
• Bonus: Prior experience in a call center or a similar fast-paced communication environment is preferred.
