Job Description: Operations Manufacturing Intern (Summer 2026)

Overview of the Internship Program:
The Marzetti Company is seeking an Operations Manufacturing Intern to join their Operations Team for a 12-week program in the summer of 2026. Interns are given ownership of meaningful business projects, fostering relationship development with peers and teams, and encouraging the sharing of innovative ideas to support company growth. The program also focuses on personal and professional development through social activities, volunteer opportunities, and development sessions with company leadership.

Key Responsibilities of an Operations Manufacturing Intern:

Project Support: Provide support for multiple process improvement projects across various execution phases.
Data Analysis: Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and Lean methodologies.
Quality Assurance: Support quality assurance activities, including inspections and audits.
Project Management: Manage and effectively communicate project goals and progress to relevant stakeholders.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with various departments to identify and implement opportunities for improved production.
Operational Support: Assist with work plans, quality control measures, and managing material costs within established guidelines.

Basic Qualifications:

Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Leadership, or a closely related field.
Skills: Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems is considered a plus.
Work Style: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
