Operations Manager | The Buckle, Inc.

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at The Buckle, Inc., located in one of its retail store locations. The Buckle is a leading retailer of apparel, accessories, and footwear. This role is crucial for upholding the company’s mission to create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for Guests. The Operations Manager acts as a cornerstone for store functionality, overseeing critical operational tasks that ensure efficient daily operations and a positive environment for both Teammates and Guests.

• Mission: Oversees a variety of operational tasks assigned by store management, ensuring an enjoyable shopping experience for Guests.
• Tech Stack: Point of Sale (POS) software, reservation application, Inventory Manager, Performance Tracker

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Oversight: Complete daily operations disciplines, manage promotions by educating Teammates and ensuring appropriate signage display, and execute pulls and markdowns.
• Inventory & Shipment Management: Receive freight boxes and store transfers through the register, report discrepancies through Inventory Manager, maintain shipment-related paperwork, and manage recalls and Return to Vendors (RTVs) weekly.
• Guest & Store Functionality: Answer store phone lines, resolve questions and requests efficiently, monitor the reservation application, and execute all exchange and return procedures while adhering to Loss Prevention practices.
• Team Onboarding & Store Maintenance: Lead onboarding and selection activities including monitoring hiring dashboards, setting up interviews, completing new Teammate onboarding, and handling all store maintenance issues like plumbing and electrical.
• Visual Strategy Execution: Develop and implement a weekly visual merchandising strategy, utilize company visual tools and resources, and ensure prompt completion of store window displays due to their business impact.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager-level understanding of retail operations and guest service, with a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: One to three months of related retail experience and/or training, including managing promotions, handling inventory, and executing operational tasks.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills for maintaining supplies and store areas, effective problem-solving for guest inquiries and store issues, clear communication for Teammates and management, and meticulous attention to detail in inventory and transaction processing.
• Bonus: Ability to travel and provide support to other stores within the District based on business needs.
