Internship: Operations Management Intern
What you’ll do:
This internship is a training program designed to prepare you for a future role as a Plant Operations Management Associate. You’ll gain practical experience and valuable knowledge over a 12-week period, working alongside experienced professionals in various plant departments.
Responsibilities:
• Become familiar with plant operations: You’ll learn about the workflow, gain hands-on experience, and shadow experienced team members across different departments.
• Embrace real challenges: You’ll have opportunities to tackle real problems, cultivate your curiosity, and see the impact of your work.
• Develop key skills: You’ll gain knowledge and practical experience in areas like:
• Risk Management: Understanding safety and regulatory compliance, food and feed safety.
• Talent Management: Learning about leadership, mentorship, and developing diverse teams.
• Reliability Excellence: Understanding production maintenance and ensuring plant capability to meet customer needs.
• Operational Efficiency: Contributing to plant operations optimization for business and profitability goals.
• Capital Efficiency: Collaborating with teams on capital projects to maintain market competitiveness.
• Continuous Improvement: Participating in production process improvements through various tools and activities.
• Build relationships: You’ll collaborate with colleagues and clients representing diverse backgrounds and work styles.

Location:
• Various locations across North America in Cargill’s Beef Processing and Harvest facilities. (See list of specific locations in the job description.)
• Willingness to work in a plant environment is required.
Eligibility:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited program.
• Graduation date between December 2025 and May 2027.
• Legal authorization to work in the US.
• Willing and able to relocate for the internship.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Pursuing an agriculture or business-related degree (e.g., Animal Science, Ag-Economics, Ag-Business, Agronomy, Food Science, Feed Science).
Compensation:
• Expected hourly rate: $20.40 – $28.20 USD (may vary based on location).
