Operations Management Associate Job Description
This is a training role that prepares you to lead diverse teams as a plant Operations Supervisor after a 12-18 month program. You’ll gain experience and skills in various areas like:
• Operations: Gaining a deep understanding of the production process and how it contributes to the overall success of the facility.
• Environmental, Health & Safety Leadership: Learning to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for employees while minimizing environmental impact.
• Engineering/Maintenance: Understanding how to maintain and troubleshoot equipment to keep operations running smoothly.
• Accounting: Understanding the financial aspects of the business and how to manage budgets effectively.
• Continuous Improvement: Learning how to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Human Resources/Talent Management/Employee Relations: Learning to build and manage effective teams and cultivate a positive work environment.
The environment:
• The work is primarily based in a plant setting.
• You will spend about 60% of your time outdoors, working with Grain Facilities.
• Expect to get a bit dirty and dusty!
• You will learn elevator operations and eventually lead a small team.
• You’ll experience a variety of weather conditions, including wind and sun.
• Working hours can vary, including 8 to 14-hour shifts, weekends, and even 6 to 7-day weeks based on customer demand.

The salary for this position is $65,000 (this is not adjusted for geographic location).
To be eligible, you must:
• Currently be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or an Associate’s Degree with relevant experience, or have a military background with relevant experience.
• Have the legal right to work in the U.S.
• Be willing and able to relocate.
• Be able to contribute both as part of a team and individually.
• Be willing to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, as well as weekends, as needed.
Preferred qualifications:
• Pursuing a degree in an agriculture or business-related field (e.g., Ag-Economics, Ag-Business, Ag-Education, Agronomy, Feed Science, Grain Science, Operations Management, Ag-Systems Management, Ag-Engineering, Supply Chain, Mechanized Systems Management, Industrial Distribution)
