Key Responsibilities

As an Operations Intern, you will be an integral part of our team, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to various aspects of our operations:
• Provide direct support to the operations team, assisting with daily tasks and initiatives.
• Immerse yourself in learning effective and efficient operational practices within a robust culture of continuous improvement.
Shadow experienced professionals to understand how to maintain production practices that uphold our rigorous food safety program within the facility.
• Gain firsthand experience in monitoring product quality and production operations to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Learn how to foster an environment where all team members are active participants, deeply involved in the business’s success.
• Recognize and celebrate successes, contributing to a positive and motivating work environment.
Challenge individuals to achieve more than they thought possible, promoting growth and excellence.
Shadow supervisors to learn how to identify problems or bottlenecks in production processes, effectively resolve issues, and ensure production resources (including materials, equipment, and human resources) are readily available to maintain product schedules. You will also support continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost, and customer service.
• Develop an understanding of how to implement effective solutions to fix identified problems or bottlenecks.
Build strong relationships with hourly team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace.
Shadow production supervisors to gain insight into their day-to-day operations and responsibilities.
• Learn the basics of how to anticipate and determine causes of delays in shift operations and take appropriate actions to meet production schedules.
Complete and present a significant project related to specific issues or opportunities within the operations department, showcasing your findings and proposed solutions.

Qualifications

To be considered for this impactful internship, candidates should meet the following criteria:
• Currently enrolled in a four-year university or pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more, as some roles within operations may require physical exertion.

Compensation & Additional Information

The successful applicant for this position will be eligible for the following compensation structure:
• An hourly wage of $21/hour.
• A generous $2,500 relocation stipend to assist with your move and accommodation.
