Key Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities:
As an Operations Intern, you will be deeply integrated into our daily operations, gaining hands-on experience and a comprehensive understanding of our production processes. Your responsibilities and learning objectives will include:

• Operational Support: Providing direct support to the operations team, assisting with day-to-day tasks and initiatives that drive efficiency and productivity.
• Continuous Improvement Culture: Actively learning and contributing to effective and efficient operations within our robust culture of continuous improvement, identifying areas for optimization.
• Food Safety Excellence: Shadowing experienced professionals to understand and support the critical production practices that underpin our facility’s stringent food safety program.
• Quality Assurance: Gaining experience in monitoring product quality and production operations to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Team Engagement: Understanding how to cultivate an environment where all team members are encouraged to be active, engaged contributors to the business.
• Recognition and Motivation: Learning to recognize and celebrate team successes, while also understanding how to challenge and inspire individuals to surpass their perceived potential.
• Problem Solving and Bottleneck Resolution: Shadowing supervisors to identify problems or bottlenecks within production processes and learning strategies to effectively resolve issues. This includes ensuring all production resources – including materials, equipment, and human resources – are readily available to maintain product schedules.
• Driving Continuous Improvement: Supporting and contributing to continuous improvement goals across key areas: safety, quality, cost-effectiveness, and customer service.
• Solution Implementation: Taking ownership to understand and implement a practical solution to a identified problem or bottleneck within the operations department.
• Relationship Building: Actively creating positive and collaborative relationships with hourly team members, fostering a strong, cohesive work environment.
• Supervisory Insights: Shadowing production supervisors to gain firsthand knowledge of their daily operations, decision-making processes, and leadership challenges.
• Proactive Scheduling Management: Learning the basics of anticipating and determining the root causes of delays in shift operations and taking appropriate, proactive actions to ensure production schedules are met.
• Impactful Project Completion: Independently completing and formally presenting a project directly related to addressing an issue or improving efficiency within the operations department, showcasing your analytical and presentation skills.

Qualifications:
We are seeking driven and enthusiastic candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Currently enrolled in a four-year university or actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more, as required for operational tasks.

Compensation and Employment Information:
The successful applicant for this prestigious internship position will be eligible for the following compensation:

• Competitive Hourly Wage: $21 per hour.
• Relocation Support: A generous $2,500 relocation stipend to assist with housing and moving expenses.
