Operations Intern
Location: Many NEW Cooperative locations in North, Central, and Western Iowa

NEW Cooperative is a leading agricultural cooperative committed to delivering innovative solutions and services to our valued customers. We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Operations Interns across our 60+ locations.
What You’ll Do:
As an Operations Intern, you will play a crucial role in providing vital solutions and information to our customers. Your responsibilities and experiences may include:
- Agronomic Experiences: Treating seed, product delivery, direct interaction with growers, and warehouse operations.
- Grain Experiences: Probing, testing, grading, maintaining, and conditioning delivered grain.
- Record-Keeping & Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate records and managing inventory effectively.
- Grain Contract Maintenance: Ensuring compliance with state and federal grain policies.
- Transportation & Logistics: Assisting locations with planning, organizing, and scheduling the semi-fleet.
- Business Model Understanding: Learning about the cooperative business model and how locations serve members.
Valuable Learning Experience & Project:
NEW Cooperative is dedicated to providing a comprehensive and valuable learning experience. As part of your internship, you will be assigned a project to plan and complete, offering hands-on learning opportunities. This project may involve conducting research, interviews, and testing ideas. The topic will be tailored to your interests and available opportunities within the company.

Who We’re Looking For:
We are seeking individuals who are:
- Team-oriented and hard-working.
- Possess strong communication, leadership, and time-management skills.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- Working towards a 2-year or 4-year college degree in agriculture.
- No prior agricultural or operations experience is required, but a strong willingness to learn is essential!
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive Hourly Wage: With paid overtime. Previous interns have earned between $7,500 – $11,000 during their internships.
- Housing Assistance: Fully-furnished intern housing options available for those not from the area.
