Job Summary & Program Overview

The MHC Operations Intern Program is a dynamic, 12-week summer internship designed to provide ambitious students with a deep, hands-on understanding of our dealership operations. This program serves as an accelerated, intensive version of our full-time Management Trainee Program, offering invaluable experience within either the essential Parts Department or Service Department. Interns will rotate through various positions within their assigned department, gaining a holistic view of the business and contributing directly to its success.

Key Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities

  • Engage in a hands-on, rotational experience through each position within the assigned Parts or Service Department, gaining a comprehensive understanding of daily operations and business processes.
  • Actively contribute to the execution of business initiatives and departmental goals, applying learned concepts in a real-world setting.
  • Perform assigned job functions under the close supervision and mentorship of experienced managers and designated employees, leveraging academic knowledge and training.
  • Develop essential operational and managerial skills necessary for effective business leadership.
  • Undertake and execute a summer-long process improvement project, with the opportunity to make a tangible impact on business efficiency and profitability.
  • Receive comprehensive on-the-job training across various facets of the dealership.

Qualifications

  • Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university.
  • Availability and willingness to commit to working 40 hours per week for 10-12 weeks during the summer months.
  • Strong leadership and sales skills are highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality work and providing excellent customer service.
  • Openness and ability to accept constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
