Job Title: Operations Intern (Summer Management Operations Internship)

Program Overview & Purpose:
The MHC Operations Intern Program is a 12-week intensive summer internship designed as an accelerated version of the full-time Management Trainee Program. This program offers a hands-on, deep dive into the operational intricacies of either a Parts or Service Department within a dealership. Interns will gain a comprehensive understanding of business operations by rotating through various positions, directly contributing to business activities, and tackling real-world challenges. This internship serves as a direct pipeline into MHC’s Full-Time Management Trainee Program.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

Execute Business Initiatives: Actively participate in and execute various business initiatives, gaining direct, hands-on experience across all facets of the dealership.
Operational Immersion: Rotate through each position within the assigned Parts or Service Department to develop a holistic understanding of how the business functions, under the close supervision of managers and experienced employees.
Skill Development: Utilize academic knowledge, training, and experience to perform assigned job functions, developing essential skills necessary for business operations and leadership.
Process Improvement Project: Undertake and lead a summer-long process improvement project, offering a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the business and contribute to operational efficiency.
Contribute to Business: Actively help contribute to the daily operations and success of the department.

Qualifications:

Education: Must be actively pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.
Availability: Willingness to commit to working 40 hours per week for 10-12 weeks during the summer months.
Leadership & Sales Skills: Strong leadership abilities and sales skills are highly preferred.
Customer Focus: Demonstrated strong commitment to providing quality work and excellent customer service.
Adaptability: Ability to accept and integrate constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
