We are actively seeking an Operations Intern for Summer 2026 to collaborate closely with our customers, delivering top-notch service and valuable insights. This internship offers flexibility and can potentially start as early as Spring 2026, depending on business needs and your availability, with the possibility of extending through the summer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of general agronomy skills, including scouting, understanding crop protection products, crop nutrient products, seed varieties, custom application procedures, and mixing procedures.
- Develop proficiency in truck driving and product delivery processes.
- Perform all agronomy and seed-related operations efficiently and safely.
- Actively monitor and maintain the quality of inventory to ensure optimal standards.
- Execute regular and periodic housecleaning processes within operational areas and maintain accurate record keeping.
- Assist with essential repairs and preventative maintenance tasks for a wide range of agronomy equipment, including legs, conveyors, towers, vehicles, sprayers, floaters, and trucks.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting customers with their needs and inquiries in a professional and helpful manner.
- Work within an environment that is consistently compliant with state, local, and CHS Environmental and Safety policies, and actively contribute to maintaining such an environment.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- Currently enrolled in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or another Agriculture-related degree program.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Software.
Compensation & Benefits:
CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon the position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives, and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, and minimum wage/salary requirements under local law. If eligibility requirements are met, interns may participate in a 401(k) plan.
