Job Description
Operations Intern
General Description
During the internship, you will learn the best practices of your Compass Group sector, Canteen, and facilitate these practices within areas which may include, but are not limited to marketing, customer service, retail, merchandising, branch operations and support services, finance, purchasing and supply chain, profit and loss, and more. Based on your location, you will be able to experience various operational areas such as:
• Markets & Office Snacks
• Coffee & Refreshments
• Vending
The Requirement
• Applicants must be currently enrolled in a college or professional culinary program and provide appropriate documentation.
• Meet university’s GPA requirement for Internship.
• Must be available to work 20 – 40 hours a week based on business needs & internship requirements.
• Strong organization skills with ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a changing work environment.
• Possess a basic understanding of customer service and client relations.
• College credit is not required, but we will provide appropriate documentation if necessary.
Job Responsibilities:
• Oversee projects related to the necessity of the operation and business
• Possible client involvement and customer service-related tasks
• Helping with the organization of tasks related to specified projects for Micro Markets, Vending, and Coffee Services.
• Providing input for best practices within the district and organization
• Working within a team environment to create processes and best practices to drive efficiencies for specified operations.
