Operations Accountant | GP Fund Solutions

• Mission: This person will manage daily journal entries, provide essential client service, and ensure accurate financial reporting to support fund administration operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Daily Ledger Management: Perform daily maintenance of journal entries, specifically related to payroll, various expenses, and accruals, alongside processing and reviewing accounts payable invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Client Relationship Support: Deliver comprehensive client service across a diverse range of financial matters, including precise transaction recording and analysis, conducting thorough reconciliations, and preparing detailed financial workpaper packages.
• Financial Reporting Compilation: Prepare monthly or quarterly client financial reports, which critically include detailed bank account reconciliations, ensuring all financial data is accurately presented and reconciled.
• Cash Transaction and Record Management: Prepare and meticulously review cash reporting, responsibly execute client payments through both wire transfers and traditional checks, and accurately maintain client and investor wiring instructions across multiple entities.
• Administrative Financial Tasks: Manage and oversee semi-monthly payrolls by coordinating effectively with third-party vendors, and meticulously prepare quarterly accounts receivable invoices for various client entities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field of study. This role is specifically designed for an early career professional who possesses a robust foundational knowledge of general industry and core accounting principles, with demonstrated expertise in US GAAP.
• Experience: Possess 0-2 years of relevant professional experience, which can include valuable internships. This experience should demonstrate an initial practical application of accounting concepts and financial operations.
• Skills: Exhibit comprehensive proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite, including advanced use of Excel for financial modeling and analysis, Word for professional documentation, Outlook for managing communications, and Teams for seamless collaboration. Essential technical skills for this role encompass meticulous journal entry management, performing detailed financial reconciliations, preparing accurate and comprehensive client financial reports, efficiently processing accounts payable, overseeing precise payroll operations, and accurately managing accounts receivable invoicing.
