Operational Finance Intern | Comfort Systems USA

The Tone:
This is an internship position at TAS, a Houston-headquartered company that is part of Comfort Systems USA, located in Houston, TX. TAS specializes in engineering and manufacturing innovative packaged modular systems for data centers, power, and commercial/industrial utility system applications. This role directly supports the Operations Finance team with day-to-day financial operations, offering hands-on experience to apply academic knowledge, develop practical skills, and gain exposure to corporate accounting processes.

The TL;DR

• Team: Operations Finance team
• Mission: Support the Operations Finance team with day-to-day financial operations, including data entry, account reconciliations, and basic financial reporting.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Word, Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations: Assist with daily accounting operations, including data entry and account reconciliations.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain financial records, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation.
• Analysis: Verify accuracy of financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Reporting: Use Excel to track and report financial information.
• Closing: Assist in month-end closing activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled and pursuing an Accounting related degree; Entry-Level career.
• Experience: Experience working as a member of a team.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
