This role is crucial for transforming how graduate-level students learn complex statistics, ensuring their academic success and deepening their understanding through customized online instruction.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Provide personalized instruction to individual graduate-level students in advanced statistics, adapting to diverse learning needs and styles.
• Explain complex statistical concepts, including maximum likelihood estimation, Bayesian inference, and the Neyman-Pearson lemma, clearly and effectively.
• Guide students through the design of experiments, multivariate analysis, and the implementation of statistical models using relevant software.
• Prepare masters and doctoral students for research methodology and rigorous statistical analysis required for their academic pursuits.
• Invoice for tutoring sessions, with all logistics and payments managed by Varsity Tutors.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Advanced graduate-level mastery in statistics, encompassing mathematical statistics, asymptotic theory, and the ability to prepare students for doctoral-level statistical analysis.
• Experience: Proven capability in breaking down complex derivations such as likelihood functions, posterior distributions, and ANOVA decompositions, along with familiarity with graduate statistics curricula.
• Skills: Deep knowledge of hypothesis testing theory, regression analysis, multivariate methods, and experimental design; proficiency in R or Python for statistical computing; excellent communication and adaptable teaching methods to address common student struggles.
