What You’ll Actually Do
• Instruction: Provide personalized 1-on-1 online Linear Algebra instruction to individual students through scheduled sessions.
• Support: Accept and fulfill on-demand tutoring requests to offer immediate assistance whenever available.
• Explanation: Explain core Linear Algebra concepts, including abstract vector space axioms and inner product spaces, using multiple approaches.
• Guidance: Guide students through complex procedures such as Gaussian elimination, matrix factorization, and eigenvalue computation, emphasizing geometric interpretations.
• Preparation: Prepare students for applications of Linear Algebra in fields like data science, engineering, computer graphics, machine learning, and quantum mechanics.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep knowledge of core Linear Algebra concepts including vector spaces, linear transformations, matrix operations, determinants, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, orthogonality, diagonalization, singular value decomposition, and systems of linear equations.
• Experience: Proven ability to explain abstract vector space axioms, change of basis, and prepare students for advanced applications. Demonstrated skill in breaking down complex procedures and guiding students through proving linear independence, constructing orthonormal bases, and applying least squares approximation.
• Skills: Familiarity with standard linear algebra curricula and common student challenges, along with the ability to adapt instruction using matrix visualization tools and computational software (e.g., MATLAB, Python). Excellent communication skills with a friendly, engaging teaching style, and strong adaptability to meet individual learning needs.
