What You’ll Actually Do
• Instruction: Provide personalized 1-on-1 or instant online guitar instruction to students from various skill levels.
• Guidance: Guide students through advanced guitar techniques, music theory, and musical expression, emphasizing proper technique and practice strategies.
• Adaptation: Adapt instructional methods and materials, using method books, popular songs, and exercises tailored to student goals and learning styles.
• Support: Utilize the AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to enhance sessions.
• Preparation: Prepare students for performances, auditions, and music coursework across acoustic, electric, classical, and popular guitar styles.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Advanced subject mastery in guitar technique, music theory, and a wide repertoire across diverse musical styles.
• Experience: Skilled at teaching progressive guitar technique, smooth chord transitions, and musical expression to learners from beginners to advanced players.
• Skills:
* Deep knowledge of guitar mechanics including fretting, strumming, fingerpicking, chord voicings, scales, music theory, tablature, and standard notation reading.
* Ability to explain complex concepts such as barre chords, pentatonic and modal scales, and rhythm patterns, adapting instruction to meet individual learning needs.
* Familiarity with various guitar pedagogy methods and common student challenges like finger strength development or barre chord difficulty.
* Strong communication skills and an engaging teaching style that can identify and address student struggles with multiple approaches.
