What You’ll Actually Do
• Deliver personalized, 1-on-1 online instruction to individual students through scheduled or on-demand sessions.
• Guide students through multi-step algebraic problems, equation-solving strategies, and conceptual understanding over rote memorization.
• Prepare students for algebraic reasoning and problem-solving in standardized tests and advanced coursework.
• Adapt instructional approaches using various tools like visual graphs, algebraic tiles, and practice problems to cater to diverse learning styles.
• Utilize the AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Advanced subject mastery in core Algebra I topics including linear and quadratic equations, polynomials, rational expressions, and systems of equations.
• Experience: Proficiency in explaining factoring techniques, completing the square, quadratic formula applications, and graphing functions, with an aptitude for guiding students through word problems and function analysis.
• Skills: Ability to identify common student struggles and explain material using multiple approaches; strong communication skills and an engaging teaching style; familiarity with standard Algebra I curricula and the capacity to support learners from middle school through early college levels.
