OhioHealth Employer Solutions College Student Strategy Intern

Job Description Summary

Want to help people in our community live healthier lives? Want to be a part of changing healthcare? As an Employer Solutions College Student Strategy Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the activities and projects of the Employer Solutions division. You will assist the Senior Advisor of Customer Strategy, as well as management and other staff members, with a variety of tasks including projects, special events, and daily activities.

This role offers the opportunity to gain real-world experience and build your portfolio working with professional business teams dedicated to improving the health of our community.

Responsibilities and Duties

The OhioHealth Employer Solutions College Student Strategy Intern will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Project Coordination: Assists management and other staff in completion of various projects and long-term assignments.
  • Information Gathering: Aids staff by gathering pertinent information from internal and external sources (such as the Internet) to complete projects or tasks.
  • Presentation Development: Responsible for compiling gathered information into a presentation format.
  • Department-Specific Assistance: Provides other assistance and completes assignments specific to the Employer Solutions department as directed by management.
  • Communication Plans: Develop and assist in the implementation of communication plans, including writing support and tactic implementation.
  • Event Support: Support internal events as needed.
  • Intranet Management: Develop and update the OhioHealth intranet.
  • Design Project Management: Manage design projects through our project management system.
  • Meeting Participation: Participate in team meetings and workshops.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work across teams and departments on various projects.
  • Strategy Support: Developing presentation materials, conducting research, and reviewing programs related to employer solutions.
  • Customer Engagement: Supporting customer strategy sessions and thought leadership events.
  • Travel: This role will involve both in-person and virtual work, including traveling to employer locations across our service footprint.
  • High Reliability Organization (HRO): Responsibilities require a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in performing job duties.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
    • College-level student pursuing a degree in business, organization, management, marketing, communications, public relations, or other related fields.
    • NOTE: Graduate level or postgraduate level applicants will not be considered.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Desktop publishing as required by the department.

Compensation and Schedule

  • Pay: $16.12/hr.
  • Work Shift: Day
  • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 24
  • Internship Start Date: All internships will begin May 18.
  • Department: Workhealth Administration (Employer Solutions division)
