Job Description:

This posting is specifically for Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) students seeking a clinical rotation during the 2026 SPRING SEMESTER (rotation start dates between January and April).

As an OTA student at Powerback Rehab, you will implement occupational therapy programs and provide treatment to patients, aiming to enhance their independence and functioning. This will be done under the direct supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) and/or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA).

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement occupational therapy programs and provide treatments under supervision.
• Adhere to Powerback Rehabilitation policies and procedures.
• Attend and contribute to patient care and staffing conferences.
• Deliver rehab services efficiently, adhering to the plan of care and schedule, and documenting services.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to develop programs aligned with patient needs.
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in treatment techniques under supervision.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation.
• Clean and maintain equipment, reporting any needed repairs.
• Prioritize patient service and ensure compassionate care.
• Implement individualized treatment plans as established by the primary OT, under supervision.
• Provide individualized interventions, including therapeutic techniques in areas such as:

• Cognitive skills
• Muscle strength
• Coordination
• Endurance
• Mobility
• Perceptual abilities
• Sensory awareness
• Sitting and standing tolerance
• Balance
• Activities of daily living
• Joint protection
• Work simplification
• Orientation
• Physical agent modalities
• Organize and facilitate treatment groups in consultation with the OT and/or OTA.
• Perform other related duties as required, under supervision.
