Job Description: NYLON Summer Internship (2025)
BDG is seeking a dynamic and conscientious intern to join the NYLON team for a paid, part-time summer internship program running from June 2, 2025, to August 15, 2025. The internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital media at a rapidly growing company.
Responsibilities:
• Reporting and Writing: Create news stories, celebrity interviews, and other content formats across NYLON’s verticals (music, fashion, beauty, nightlife).
• Idea Generation: Pitch daily/weekly news and evergreen story ideas.
• Content Management System (CMS): Build stories and newsletters within the company’s CMS.
• Interviews: Conduct interviews with talent and assist NYLON staff with interview preparation.
• Event Attendance: Attend industry events on behalf of NYLON (as needed).
Requirements:
• Availability to work four days a week (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
• Strong Reporting and Writing Skills: Proven ability to produce high-quality written content with excellent news judgment.
• AP Style Familiarity: Knowledge of Associated Press style guidelines.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Adaptability: Capacity to readily incorporate feedback and retain information.
• Multitasking & Detail-Orientation: Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail.
• Teamwork & Interpersonal Skills: Positive attitude and effective collaboration skills.
The internship program includes executive mentorship, career training, professional development seminars and workshops, collaborative projects, off-site events, and the option to work remotely or from BDG’s New York City headquarters. Interns will work up to 28 hours per week.
