Job Description:

This is a PRN (as needed), Day shift position working from 7 AM to 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts) at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City, FL. As a member of the nursing team, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:

• Complete assigned nursing orders as directed by preceptor, including assisting patients with activities of daily living and taking vital signs.
• Observe patient status and responses.
• Document and report observations to preceptor or other appropriate staff.
• Assist preceptor with development of care plan by reporting test results and patient observations.
• Perform other tasks as assigned, including environmental services and preparing/transporting patients for diagnostic services.

Requirements:

Education: High school diploma/GED required. You must be accepted or enrolled in a Nursing program upon the date of hire/transfer and begin classes within 90 days of the date of hire/transfer.
Licensure/Certification: BLS Provider certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date is required.
