Job Description
This is an exciting internship opportunity for Nursing students at ChildServe, working alongside the Clinical Learning and Development Specialist.
• Role: Nursing Student Intern
• Purpose: This is a non-paid opportunity, ideal for applicants seeking course credit and/or specific college internship requirements.
• What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):
• Observe and participate in staff meetings.
• Engage in regular meetings with the Internship Supervisor.
• Observe and learn from inpatient services and various teams.
• Complete a project focused on updating training modules for staff.
• What You’ll Need (Requirements):
• Enrollment in an undergraduate program at an accredited university/college.
• Ability to work effectively with a wide range of children and young adults who have intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities, as well as complex medical needs.
• Must exercise confidentiality regarding the affairs of clients, staff, their families, and children.
• Ability to interpret and follow applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally.
• Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
• Schedule:
• Monday-Friday, with varied hours.
• A total of 120 hours for the internship duration.
