Job Description:
Title: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Schedule:
• Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• No Weekends
• No BJC Observed Holidays

Role Purpose:
The Nurse Practitioner (Primary Care) delivers patient care in a primary care clinic. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and implementing patient care treatment plans within a collaborative practice agreement with a physician. Patient care is performed with independence, guided by physician-approved protocols, and evaluated through chart review, consultations, and observation of results under the medical direction of an Internal Medicine/Family Medicine physician.
Responsibilities:
• Professional Development: Participates in professional development.
• Patient Management: Manages the health care of patient populations with compassion through advanced health assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation. Prescriptive responsibilities are reviewed by collaborative physician.
• Care Coordination: Coordinates the care of patient populations to ensure promotion of health and wellness through education, service coordination, and referrals.
• Staff Education: Assesses staff development needs and delivers appropriate educational programs.
• Treatment Plans: Develops treatment plans and treats patients with acute problems, including illnesses and minor injuries, following a predetermined protocol.
Minimum Requirements:
• Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing
• Experience: No Supervisor Experience
• Licenses & Certifications: Nurse Practitioner and RN
Preferred Requirements:
• Education: Doctorate in Nursing
• Experience: 2-5 years
