Job Description: North America Business Planning Internship
This internship position within North America Business Planning provides critical thinking, insights, plans, and cross-functional alignment to enable Tesla’s aggressive scaling and efficient operations. The intern will directly support Tesla’s customer-facing expansion plans and measure the performance of this portfolio. Working directly with Service, Sales, Collision, and Customer Support leaders, the intern will contribute to creating and implementing market growth strategies and operations improvements. The role involves analyzing and providing insights that will guide Tesla’s future expansion.
What You’ll Do:
• Combine quantitative and qualitative analyses to forecast and prioritize capacity needs within Tesla’s customer-facing portfolio of locations and teams.
• Track and measure the performance of existing locations and teams and partner with operations leaders to identify improvement opportunities.
• Manage field feedback on operations systems and provide insights to the business and IT teams to surface potential system enhancements.
• Build business cases and analyses with Program Managers to support process improvement initiatives they are driving.
• Perform analyses and content preparation for executive reviews.
What You’ll Bring:
• Very strong quantitative/analytical skills and intuition.
• Experience and comfort in modeling scenarios and forward-looking business cases.
• Experience in common Excel functions and in data processing, including analysis of big data using Excel; SQL and Python are ideal.
• Prefer basic statistics knowledge in predictive modeling & regression.
• Prefer experience building data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using Tableau Desktop or similar BI solution.
• Hardworking; willing to go way above and beyond.
• Comfort with ambiguity & rapid change.
• Passion for Tesla’s products and belief in Tesla’s mission to accelerate the transition toward sustainable energy.
Internship Details:
• Expected Start: August or September 2025
• Duration: Minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site. Potential to continue into Winter/Spring 2026.
• Location: On-site
• Requirements: Actively enrolled in an academic program.
• Compensation: $19.23 – $33.65/hour + benefits
