Job Description:
This internship focuses on developing cutting-edge NLP/ML algorithms and strategies to enhance the user experience and improve the e-commerce platform. The team is responsible for the algorithms powering Intelligent Customer Service within TikTok’s global e-commerce business. Specific responsibilities include:
• Applying LLMs: Utilizing large language models (LLMs) for various multilingual and multimodal scenarios within the e-commerce context.
• Developing AI Chatbot: Building a generative AI-based chatbot capable of handling post-sale issues and providing pre-sale interactive consultations.
• Text Generation: Generating product titles and descriptions, summarizing dialogues, and automating email and ticket replies.
• Machine Translation: Optimizing translation quality across numerous scenarios and language pairs within the e-commerce platform, and researching cutting-edge technologies in this area.
The internship aims to provide hands-on experience, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios while developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. A vibrant social environment and enriching development workshops are also offered. The internship lasts 12-24 weeks and starts in either May/June 2025 or August/September 2025.
