This is a News & Politics Editorial Intern position for the fall of 2025. The ideal candidate is creative, efficient, organized, and detail-oriented, with a strong passion for journalism and hard news. They should have their finger on the pulse of cultural conversations surrounding topics relevant to college readers, including U.S. politics, academics, global/national issues, and viral news.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Assisting the editorial team with various editorial-related tasks.
Writing and editing timely news articles.
• Working on larger editorial projects and packages.
Interviewing talent and expert sources.
• Creating and optimizing SEO and e-commerce content.
• Receiving writing assignments for sections such as News, Digital, Life, and Career.
• Expected to work on tight deadlines and turnarounds.
• Given high-level tasks and significant responsibility.

Required Qualifications:
Must be a current college undergraduate with the ability to receive college credit.
• A strong communicator with organization and strategic thinking skills.
• Knowledgeable of all Google for Work tools.
• Hardworking, detail-oriented, efficient, and possessing a creative work ethic.
• Passionate about the Her Campus mission and all things Gen Z.
• Knowledgeable of culture and social commentary.
• Interested in writing, editing, research, college trends, and project management.
• Interested in creating content around news, politics, academics, and trending topics.
