The New Home Sales Internship Program

This comprehensive internship program with Starlight Homes is meticulously designed to provide aspiring sales professionals with an in-depth introduction to the new home sales process. Interns will have the unique opportunity to work alongside our experienced sales team, gaining invaluable insight into the dynamic homebuilding industry, effective sales strategies, and the complete customer buying experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Team Support: Actively assist the experienced sales team in their daily operations, which includes engaging with potential buyers, preparing compelling presentations, and contributing to the overall sales effort.
  • Customer Engagement: Learn the art of greeting and effectively engaging with prospective homebuyers, creating a welcoming and informative initial experience.
  • Sales Presentations Observation: Observe and internalize the delivery of professional sales presentations to prospective buyers, gaining crucial insight into effectively implementing our proven sales process and showcasing home features.
  • CRM Management Insight: Gain an understanding of customer relationship management by observing experienced sales consultants utilize the company’s CRM system. Learn the importance of diligent customer follow-up and maintaining accurate, up-to-date information on leads, prospects, and all sales activities.
  • Contract Preparation Overview: Understand the foundational documentation and legal aspects involved in the home sales process, including reviewing contracts and associated paperwork.
  • Event Planning & Coordination: Contribute to the planning and coordination of various community events, grand openings, and promotional activities specifically designed to attract and engage potential homebuyers.
  • Training & Development Participation: Actively participate in specialized sales training sessions to deepen your understanding of our diverse product offerings, the intricate sales process, and advanced sales techniques.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, or a closely related field. Junior or Senior year students are preferred, but recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated strong interest in real estate, home sales, or the construction industry.
  • Possess excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, essential for interacting with diverse clientele.
  • A self-motivated, goal-oriented individual with a genuine eagerness to learn and grow within the sales field.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, crucial for managing multiple tasks and customer information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for creating documents, presentations, and managing data.
  • Ability to thrive and contribute effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and team-oriented environment.
