Job Description: New Grads 2025 – Software Engineer – Computer Vision/Deep Learning

This is a full-time, on-site position in San Jose, California, offering a salary range of $120,000 – $165,000 USD yearly, plus an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package (including premium medical, dental, and vision; free daily meals; paid vacations and holidays; and a 401K plan).

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy cutting-edge perception and deep learning models, including vision-language and large language models (VLMs and LLMs), for real-time integration into their autonomous driving system.
• Create and optimize data pipelines for data mining, labeling, training, and evaluation, supporting comprehensive onboard development.
• Conduct advanced research in perception algorithms to address complex real-world scenarios, focusing on object detection, segmentation, road understanding, and motion prediction.
• Leverage multi-modal sensor fusion techniques to build robust architectures tailored for autonomous driving.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of current models on the WeRide platform, collaborating with the Perception team and other cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field, with an expected graduation date between December 2024 and June 2025.
Strong programming experience in C++ or Python.
• Experience in one or more of the following: machine learning, robotics, computer vision, data mining, LiDAR.
• Knowledge of data structures, 3D geometry, and advanced algorithms.
Solid foundation in core robotics principles, including state estimation, 3D reconstruction, and visual odometry.
• Excellent software and computing fundamentals.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Large Language Models (LLM) or Vision Language Models (VLM).
