Job Description: Network Support Intern (UK)

Meraki Interns are integral members of their teams, and Network Support Interns play a critical role in resolving cases across the entire Meraki product line, including wireless access points, security appliances, switches, and Systems Manager applications. This internship provides a unique opportunity to work alongside full-time engineers and contribute to the success of Meraki’s customers.

This 12-week paid internship program, based in the UK, runs during the Summer of 2025 and offers:

Steep learning curve: Gain a deeper understanding of networking, problem-solving, and customer support in a real-world environment.
Mentorship: Be paired with a dedicated mentor who will provide feedback, guidance, and introductions to the team.
Full-time experience: Work alongside the Support team and become an enthusiastic contributor.
Project opportunity: Complete a Network Project and present your work to peers and leaders.

Responsibilities:

• Research and resolve issues reported by Meraki customers and partners.
• Assist with lab testing work for Meraki products as needed.
• Identify, reproduce, and document bugs.
• Complete a Network Project and present your work to peers and leaders.

Qualifications:

Graduation: Set to graduate in Spring 2026 with a BSc or equivalent in Networking and Systems Administration, Computer Information Technology, Network Technologies, Computer Science, or a related field. (Masters Students are not eligible for this program)
Networking Knowledge: Have a detailed understanding of networking principles, including the ability to explain the functions and differences between the link, network, transport, and application layers.
Customer-Centric: Exhibit an empathetic approach towards assisting customers with problem deciphering, solving, explaining, and resolution.
Resourceful and Creative: Be naturally resourceful, imaginative, and creative while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
Social Skills: Be able to effectively communicate and convey information through excellent social skills.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Networking, Troubleshooting, CCNA, CCNP, DHCP, TCP, UDP, VLANs, ACL, ARP, STP (spanning tree protocol), OSI Model, Packet Tracer, Wireshark, Routing & Switching, Cisco Networking Academy, CCENT
