Overview: Network Operations / Engineering Intern

We are seeking a Network Operations / Engineering Intern to support enterprise-scale infrastructure in a global production environment. This role provides hands-on experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and automating network services supporting enterprise platforms.

You will collaborate with senior engineers within an Infrastructure organization and contribute to operational excellence, reliability, and performance optimization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support enterprise network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers).
  • Analyze network traffic and performance metrics.
  • Support configuration management and change control processes.
  • Contribute to automation initiatives.
  • Maintain documentation and network topology diagrams.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Sciences or related fields.
  • Strong foundational understanding of networking technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, etc.).
  • Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and Python scripting language.
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity practices, network administration, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Interest in emerging AI technologies for network management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Eligibility

This internship is open to students pursuing their bachelor’s or master’s degree at an accredited college or university in the US, planning to graduate between December 2026 and June 2027. Our interns – and their conversion role – are required to be based in one of our US hub locations where you can experience a hybrid working environment. This internship and the full-time conversion will be based in San Jose. Interns are expected to relocate.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table. Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone/online meetings, and read printed or electronic material. The role may be hybrid and require periodic in-office collaboration. Additional hours may occasionally be required to support project milestones.

The hourly U.S. pay range for this position is: $23.82 – $51.70
