Job Description: Network Operations Center Intern
Position Title: Network Operations Center Intern
Location: Los Angeles, CA
General Description:
The Network Operations Center (NOC) Intern will support China Telecom Americas’ best-in-class troubleshooting by assisting with 24/7 network monitoring of the telecom network (transport and data networks). This internship potentially could lead to full-time employment.
Major Responsibilities:
• Work closely with Shift Assistant Engineers when they are monitoring and maintaining the Los Angeles POP facility, including HVAC, AC UPS, DC power plant, and fire pre-action systems.
• Assist Shift Engineers in responding to Transport network and IP network monitoring.
• Assist Shift Engineers as needed with actions on network facilities and alarms according to company procedures.
• Assist in opening tickets to related carriers and tracking ticket status.
• Assist in processing customer trouble tickets and carrier trouble tickets, escalating tickets according to escalation procedures.
