Description: Network Engineering Intern

This internship is a hybrid role, offering a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum of eight assigned office days per month set by the manager.

The internship will run from June 2, 2025 to August 8, 2025, requiring full-time commitment.

Responsibilities:

Engage in meaningful work and projects that deliver tangible business impact.
Network with V Teamers across the globe, find mentors, and establish lasting friendships.
Gain experience in areas like:
• Business Analytics
• Programming (Java, Python, Wireshark)
• Data Warehousing (SQL & database query tools)
• Data visualization design and tools (Splunk, Tableau, Qlik Sense)
• Grafana (Prometheus) & GitHub Network
• Technical and business writing
• System tools design and administration
• Network design and process

Requirements:

Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree majoring in any Engineering discipline (Industrial and Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related majors).
Graduation date between December 2026 and June 2028.
Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
Willingness to travel and work in an assigned Verizon office.

Preferred Currently pursuings:

• Demonstrated strong written and communication skills.
• Experience in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, and/or other programming languages.
• Knowledge of system design and administration.
• Knowledge of data mapping and data analysis.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (Splunk, Tableau, and/or Qlik Sense).
• Knowledge in technical writing.
• Knowledge of network and system automation design and implementation.

Compensation:

The compensation range for this position is between $25/hour – $31/hour.
The salary will vary depending on your role and class year.
You will be eligible for a 401(k) Savings Plan with a company match, holiday pay, and other benefits.

Location:

This internship will be based out of Bedminster, NJ.
Relocation assistance may be available if required.
