Job Description:

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a talented Network Engineer to join their Stormbreaker program, focused on designing and planning network communications systems. You will be responsible for:

• Network Architecture: Providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
• Technical Expertise: Offering expert knowledge in network and computer hardware, software interconnection, and interfacing, including routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, and gateways.
• Efficient Solutions: Implementing techniques and tools to develop the most efficient network solutions to meet present and future business needs, including capacity requirements.

This is an EARLY CAREER (level 2) ROLE requiring 2+ years of professional experience and a BS degree or above.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Planning: Develop network architecture specifications and detailed schematics.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth understanding of network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking components.
• Solution Implementation: Utilize your expertise to create efficient network solutions that meet current and future business requirements.
• Capacity Planning: Ensure network infrastructure can handle current and future demands.

Key Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing LAN and WAN networks.
• Experience with Linux/RHEL.

Desired Skills:

• Sound knowledge of network architecture, topologies, engineering, design, implementation, and testing.
• Experience with communication products including routers, switches, firewalls, DNS, and data encryption products.
• Certifications in the industry vendors Cisco (CCNA) and Juniper (JNCIA) or higher level certifications.
• Understanding of standard DoD security practices such as STIG/RMF compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts.
• Experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytic tools.
• Network and Linux/RHEL automation utilizing Ansible.
• Virtualization utilizing VMWare.
• Familiarity with NAS/SAN technologies (NFS, FC, iSCSI).
• Documenting existing and new network architectures using Visio.
