About the Company:

Comcast NBCUniversal is a leading entertainment and news media company, creating and distributing world-class content across film, television, streaming, theme parks, and consumer experiences. They own and operate prominent brands such as NBC, NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, NBC Sports, Telemundo, Bravo, USA Network, and Peacock (their premium ad-supported streaming service). A significant development is the planned spin-off of a new publicly traded company (SpinCo) in 2025. SpinCo will encompass most of NBCUniversal’s cable television networks (USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY, Golf Channel), along with digital assets like Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. This new entity will be a substantial, independently operating media company focused on news, sports, and entertainment.

Job Description: NBCUniversal Academic Year Internship Program

This paid internship program offers students immersive experiences across NBCUniversal’s diverse platforms. Interns contribute to meaningful projects, receive mentorship, and are exposed to the company’s culture. Program Details:

Program Dates: September 15, 2025 – April 17, 2026
Time Commitment: 16-24 hours per week (flexible to accommodate coursework)
Location: New York, NY

Specific Internship Opportunity: Peacock Business Operations

This internship within The Media Group supports Peacock’s Growth Program Management team. Interns will assist in various project management tasks, data analysis, strategic planning, and operational improvements. Responsibilities include creating project trackers, monitoring milestones, preparing insights, developing presentations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements: Active enrollment in a degree-granting program (September 2025 – April 2026); sophomore standing or higher (30 credits); US work authorization without sponsorship; availability to work 16-24 hours/week in New York, NY. December 2025 graduates are ineligible.
Desired Characteristics: Junior or senior standing preferred; GPA of 3.0 or higher; for Peacock Business Operations specifically: degree in business management, communications, organizational design, economics, industrial and organizational psychology, or a similar field; strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel (including data analysis); excellent organizational and time management skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Compensation: $17.50/hour for undergraduates; $25.00/hour for graduate students.

Important Note: While hired as an NBCU intern, the internship and responsibilities might transfer to SpinCo after the spin-off.
