This is a contract role at Varsity Tutors, offered remotely across eligible states. Varsity Tutors operates a Live Learning Platform that connects thousands of students with online tutors nationally. This role is crucial for transforming learning by providing personalized, expert instruction to students preparing for NASM certification, impacting their academic success and understanding.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Instruction: Provide personalized 1-on-1 online instruction to individual students.
• Availability: Accept on-demand tutoring requests through Instant Tutoring whenever available.
• Content Delivery: Teach NASM Certified Personal Trainer examination content, covering basic and applied sciences, assessment, exercise technique, program design, and professional development.
• Application Guidance: Guide students through applying the OPT model, movement assessment analysis, and program design principles relevant to the NASM-CPT examination.
• Adaptive Teaching: Adapt instruction using NASM study materials, practice examinations, and client scenario analysis to support aspiring personal trainers.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep knowledge of NASM Certified Personal Trainer examination content, including the OPT model, kinetic chain assessment, corrective exercise, and periodization principles.
• Experience: Skilled at teaching OPT model application, movement assessment analysis, and program design principles for NASM-CPT examination preparation. Familiarity with NASM-CPT examination content and common student challenges.
• Skills: Ability to identify concepts students struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, adapt instruction to individual learning needs, strong communication skills, and an engaging teaching style.
