Job Description: NANA Worley/NANA Shareholder College Internship – Desktop Support

This is a paid internship opportunity offering between 24-40 hours per week for a minimum of eight weeks, starting in early June. Longer durations and earlier start dates are possible. The internship runs from June 2nd to August 3rd.

Summary: The intern will install, configure, and troubleshoot computer desktop systems and associated hardware/software. This involves providing support for operational computer desktops, phones, printers, copiers, and plotters.

Responsibilities:

• Assembling and configuring desktop components and peripherals.
• Setting up and maintaining basic desktop hardware systems.
• Assisting the ICT Department Supervisor.
• Performing desktop troubleshooting to diagnose hardware and software problems.
• Upgrading desktop hardware and software.
• Providing users with technical support.
• Installing and testing software and hardware.
• Responding to user questions regarding desktop resources.

Qualifications:

Must be a shareholder of NANA Regional Corporation, Inc., or a direct descendant of a shareholder. Preference is given to shareholders, then descendants.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be currently enrolled full-time in college or vocational school, having completed at least one semester of postsecondary education.
Must be declared in a major/program of Information Technology or a closely related field.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read and interpret documents.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations (fractions, proportions, percentages, algebra, geometry).
• Ability to apply common sense and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.

Certificates and Licenses: None required.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (for NANA’s vehicle insurance policy).

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
