Job Description: NANA Worley/NANA Shareholder College Internship – Desktop Support
This is a paid internship position offering 24-40 hours per week, lasting a minimum of 8 weeks, beginning in early June (with potential for earlier start and longer duration). The internship runs from June 2nd to August 3rd.
Summary:
This role focuses on the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of computer desktop systems and related peripherals. The intern will provide support to operational computer desktops by performing a variety of tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Assembling and configuring desktop components and peripherals.
• Setting up and maintaining basic desktop hardware systems.
• Assisting the ICT Department Supervisor.
• Performing desktop troubleshooting to diagnose hardware and software issues.
• Upgrading desktop hardware and software.
• Providing users with technical support for desktops, phones, printers, copiers, and plotters.
• Responding to user inquiries regarding desktop resources.
• Installing and testing software and hardware.
Qualifications:
• Must be a shareholder of NANA Regional Corporation, Inc., or a direct descendant of a shareholder.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be currently enrolled full-time in college or a vocational school, having completed at least one semester of postsecondary education.
• Must be declared as a major/program in Information Technology or a closely related field.
• Ability to read, interpret documents, write reports and correspondence, and speak effectively.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (fractions, proportions, percentages, algebra, geometry).
• Ability to apply common sense, follow instructions, and solve problems.
• Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (for NANA’s vehicle insurance policy).
