Summer 2026 Multi-Media Internship – City of Chesapeake Fire Department

About the Role

As a Multi-Media Intern, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the department’s digital training capabilities. The successful candidate will be a proactive and self-driven individual eager to apply their creative and technical skills to develop engaging educational content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of digital training content, primarily focusing on video production.
  • Utilize simulation software by inputting photographs and meticulously creating step-by-step emergency scene developments.
  • Contribute to the creation and enhancement of interactive digital training modules.

Internship Program Expectations:

Students accepted into the City of Chesapeake’s Internship Program are responsible for the following:

  • Providing their own reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Arriving at the designated worksite punctually at the time set by the worksite supervisor.
  • Efficiently performing all tasks assigned by both the vocational instructor/coordinator and the worksite supervisor.
  • Demonstrating core professional qualities, including honesty, punctuality, courtesy, a cooperative attitude, appropriate dress, and a strong willingness to learn.
  • Adhering strictly to all guidelines and policies of the internship worksite.
