Job Description: Moody’s Ratings and Research Support (RRS) Internship
This is a 10-week, full-time summer internship program (June 2nd – August 8th, 2025) offering a comprehensive view of Moody’s business and culture. The program aims to develop valuable skills for a future career in financial services. The internship is internally facing, reporting to a Team Manager.
Responsibilities:
Interns will support analytical teams in various capacities, including:
• Participating in case studies to enhance analytical understanding.
• Working on analytical, research, data, and process-related projects.
• Collecting data and identifying trends to support credit conclusions.
• Preparing financial documents, charts, and presentations.
• Monitoring media outlets for news related to special projects or portfolios.
• Providing analytical and research support to rating teams.
• Contributing to the creation of high-quality research publications.
Team Assignment:
The intern will be assigned to one of the following rating groups:
• Corporate Finance Group (CFG)
• Financial Institutions Group (FIG)
• Public Finance Group (PFG)
• Project and Infrastructure (PIF)
• Structured Finance Group (SFG)
• Sovereign Group (SOV)

Potential for Full-Time Employment:
Successful interns may receive an offer to join Moody’s as a Ratings Associate after graduation (December 2025 – June 2026).
Compensation:
For US-based roles, the anticipated hourly rate is $35/hr.
Qualifications:
• Students matriculating through college, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Political Economy, International Relations, Statistics, or a quantitative field.
• Graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026.
• Availability to work during the program dates (June 2nd – August 8th, 2025).
• Good accounting or statistics background (coursework may be sufficient).
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage workflow, adapt to change, and prioritize tasks.
• Strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
