Job Description: Mission Assurance Intern (Summer 2025)

This internship offers a chance to contribute to the development of affordable, high-reliability space systems. The intern will work on real-world projects, gaining practical experience in evaluating and solving technical issues. The role will have a specific focus on problems related to Parts, Materials, and Processes.

Responsibilities:

Risk Evaluation: Assessing the risks associated with technical problems encountered in ongoing programs.
Technical Guidance: Utilizing expertise in materials science and understanding of the space environment to advise programs on problem-solving and sound engineering decisions.
Technical Reporting: Writing and presenting technical reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
Problem Solving: Demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills to drive real-world solutions.
Information Synthesis: Gathering and synthesizing information from diverse sources to support engineering decisions and risk evaluations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing an engineering degree, preferably with a focus on materials science (metallurgy, polymers, or electronic components).
• Experience working in a laboratory environment and conducting materials testing.
• Strong understanding and proven application of the problem-solving process.
• Ability to effectively research and integrate information from various sources for engineering decision-making and risk assessment.
• Must be actively enrolled in an accredited post-secondary program with at least one semester or quarter remaining after the internship concludes.

Additional Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance are mandatory due to the company’s DDTC registration and ITAR compliance. Applicants must be willing to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
