About the Job: Merchandising Strategy Intern

FreshDirect is seeking a highly motivated intern to join its Merchandising Strategy team for an eight-week paid internship.
Duration: July 7th, 2025 – August 29th, 2025.
Team: Merchandising Strategy team.

Job Description:
The Merchandising Strategy Intern will divide their time across the Site Merchandising and Pricing teams, providing support for high-priority, time-bound projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Site Merchandising Tasks:
• Collecting and tracking site enhancement requests from the merchandising and product organizations.
• Supporting the site merchandising team with storefront management updates in the content management system (CMS).
Pricing Tasks:
• Supporting quality assurance testing of pricing tools.
• Collecting pricing rules requirements from partner merchant teams.
General:
• Providing ad hoc project support.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a BA/BS degree, with demonstrated interest in the food industry, merchandising, or e-commerce. Candidates pursuing a master’s degree will also be considered.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Experience in food retail and/or merchandising preferred.
• Ability to work in refrigerated environments for short periods of time.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large data sets.
• A willingness to think creatively and take calculated risks.
