About the Job
This role focuses on maintaining operational efficiency, ensuring safety, and providing excellent member service within a retail warehouse environment. Key responsibilities include operating heavy equipment, managing inventory, and supporting various club functions, all while upholding company policies and ethical standards.
What You’ll Do
- Compliance & Ethics: Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
- Forklift Operation: Operate a forklift following Company standards and guidelines by safely picking up, moving, placing, and positioning merchandise pallets.
- Work Assignments & Priorities: Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
- Receiving & Organization: Receive, stock, and organize merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers throughout the facility by managing inventory flow, following company policy and procedures for utilizing equipment appropriately, merchandising, working inventory exceptions, correcting shelf capacities, and completing and retaining required paperwork, logs, and other documentation.
- Member Service: Provide member service by acknowledging the member and identifying member needs; providing guidance and support to members regarding self-service technology; assisting members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise; resolving member issues and concerns; and promoting the company’s products and services.
- Facility Safety: Maintain safety of the facility according to company policies and procedures by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, following procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials, following company steel standard guidelines, and correcting and reporting unsafe situations to management.
- Sales Floor & Merchandising: Maintain the sales floor and merchandising presentation in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly zoning the area, stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, maintaining modular integrity, receiving, sorting, staging, and delivering merchandise, ensuring prominent display of promotional and seasonal merchandise, processing defective merchandise, following company and regulatory policies and procedures for sanitation and food safety, and monitoring the area for shrink, security risks, and safety.
- Club Pick-Up Orders: Ensure club pick-up orders are filled by assisting with picking club pick-up orders throughout the day and staging, ensuring products are selected and staged according to company policy and procedures, ensuring Merchandising Associates pick orders within an acceptable timeframe and are staged properly, and performing occasional audits for accuracy.
- Inventory Management: Handle, move, and display goods in safe and correct ways. Track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage in a timely manner. Report poor inventory practices and low in-stock levels in the assigned area. Use inventory tools and equipment in safe and correct ways.
- Forklift Operation & Maintenance: Operate and maintain forklifts in safe and correct ways. Report poor or unsafe conditions or practices in assigned areas. Inform Management when forklifts are not in proper working order.
- Technology Engagement: Proactively identify Customers who need help, actively engage them, and assist them with Technology services and items. Model and help others with technology services.
- Problem Solving & Maintenance: Identify shrink opportunities and problems with products, services, and work areas and take steps to fix the problem. Properly maintain equipment and ensure products are organized and stocked in correct ways and promptly fix any problems.

Compensation
- Hourly Wage Range: $19.00 to $27.00*
- The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
- Additional Premiums: Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Minimum Qualifications
- 90 days of prior experience with Forklift Certification.
- Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
