Job Description

Position Summary

The Sam’s Club team member will play a crucial role in providing exceptional Member service, supporting Membership growth, and maintaining a safe and efficient shopping environment. This position involves a variety of tasks from direct Member interaction to order fulfillment and facility safety.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and Support Membership: Provide detailed information on Membership benefits, actively promote the value of Company products and services, efficiently process Memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts, engage in sales and marketing events, and strive to meet Membership goals.
  • Maintain Facility Safety: Adhere to all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting regular safety sweeps, following proper forklift spotting procedures, correctly handling and disposing of hazardous materials, complying with Company steel standard guidelines, and promptly correcting or reporting unsafe situations to Management.
  • Fulfill Member Orders (Fax ‘n Pull / Click ‘n Pull): Accurately review incoming orders, efficiently pull items from shelves, scan and verify items, properly wrap and palletize orders, ensure accuracy of orders and invoices, securely store items until Member pickup, and follow up on out-of-stock merchandise to fulfill Member needs.
  • Complete Work Assignments and Priorities: Utilize established policies, data, and resources; collaborate effectively with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identify and prioritize tasks, deadlines, and expectations; execute assigned tasks, communicate progress and information, suggest improvements, and adapt to change, difficulties, and feedback.
  • Provide Exceptional Member Service: Acknowledge and greet Members, identify their needs, assist with purchasing decisions, help locate merchandise, resolve issues and concerns, and promote the Company’s products and services.
  • Comply with Company Policies: Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, utilizing the Open Door Policy, and applying these principles in all business processes and practices.

Compensation

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $25.00*. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
