Summer Internship Program:
GroupM offers a 10-week, full-time, paid internship program during the summer. This program is designed to provide hands-on learning and engagement with industry professionals. Interns will be treated as true members of their team and work alongside them on actual projects for clients. The program focuses on various media and advertising areas:
• Media Planning: Learn communication strategies across all media channels and cross-functional collaboration.
• Media Buying, Digital Investment, Programmatic: Develop an understanding of client vision, negotiation skills, and collaboration to secure media.
• Data Analytics: Gain experience in collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to create compelling stories for clients.
• Paid Search: Master paid advertising to ensure client websites and ads appear at the top of search engine results pages.
• Paid Social: Learn sponsored advertising content on social media platforms to target specific customers.
• Commerce: Gain a basic understanding of data and technology used to determine media investments for online business growth.
• Corporate: Gain organizational exposure by supporting teams within Finance, Talent Acquisition, DEI, and/or Marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyzing data and trends using tools like Excel, MRI, ComScore, Tableau, etc.
• Collaborating on an internship project to identify challenges and develop solutions.
• Gaining awareness and preparation for full-time roles and a successful career trajectory at GroupM.
• Networking opportunities with industry professionals at all levels.
Requirements:
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with positive contributions in previous work experience, class projects, or extracurricular activities.
• Ability to explore new ways to solve problems and work independently and in a team.
• Enthusiasm and motivation for data and trends with previous experience using Excel.
• Ability to cultivate positive relationships with colleagues and peers.
• Curiosity, helpfulness, tenacity, and initiative.
Location & Timing:
• The program is 100% in-person in New York City, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, and Playa Vista on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work options on Mondays & Fridays.
• The 2025 Summer Program will be held from June 3 – August 8, 2025.
• Ideal candidates are rising seniors, juniors, and sophomores.
Compensation:
• The base salary for this position is $20 per hour.
